Well it's been a long time since we last updated. A lot has happened, A LOT has happened. A lot has happened. One more time?
Neh.

Anyways, first off, we finally got our first ever E.P release "Deadly With the Melodies" out to you, the loyal fans. In the works for what seemed like an age (which in fact was only 6-7 months) it came to a point where we had to release SOMETHING. You can download and listen below:

Shortly after the release of DWTM, we went to perform at the monthly Open Mich Night at the Butterbank Bar on Bank Street (Obviously). Whilst only Ryan, Slanteyez, and Kassah attended they pulled a set good enough to impress the Manager of Salut who was also attending the night. He called us over and requested that we open for David Dallas the following night. Of course we said yes and within 24 hours had the biggest gig of our career so far.

We had plans also to do a music video for our "hit" track Summertime Vibe. So in partnership with SBPnz's Head Director, Kenny Ruddell, we set about on a journey slightly south of our hometown, Whangarei, and came back with this:

It also marks the start of what we hope is a long term partnership with the very skilled and talented crew at SBPnz, many thanks to them for making this idea and dream become a reality.

For the rest of 2012:

We have to get our shit together. Easiest way to put it. Slanteyez has gone to MAINZ so we're semi-f#@ked for a studio right now. We REALLY want to keep the ball rolling with our sound reaching your ears ASAP.

We will be at every single Open Mich Night, probably not all of us, but a contingent of the OBC wil be there.

Many opportunities to gig as far as Kaikohe and Baylys Beach have been thrown at us, but details are vague for now.

And we have collaborations in the works, plus another music video by mid year.

One last thing:
We love our hater's.

Hello my friend we meet ahhh geeeeen

It's been a while.

So alot has changed in the past few months. We been to busy to maintain the site.

TJ aka Tony James has been welcomed back into the crew. We've already recorded a few tracks with him, one of which you can check out under our "Downloads" section.

We're currently sussing out a release date for some of our work which we can hopefully expect in December sometime.

Word of Mouth went well, a couple of massive feedbacks from the michrophone but other than that a success in our books. could probably upload our footage from the night within the coming months.

We will be regularly haunting ButterFactory down on butterfactory lane in town at events such as the Open Mich and GONG. We're trying to pull some decent crowds through the place so definitely get to those if you got the time!

Started work with a new artist called Radytk (Rhymes and Ambitions Dreams Yet To Kome). She's on our track "Just Spit" so head to the downloads section, or the link below to hear that.

Also in talks with Foul Mouth about opportunities arising around the town, and further abroad.

Anyways, will keep keeping you posted!

Peace~ Kassah!

The four seasons.

Another decent month for the OBC crew.

OBC and Ryan Karaka had a jam at the open mich night early on. Entertained a few people singing/rapping about breakfast cereals.

Will be performing at Word of Mouf in October. Also the coming open mich night alongside Ryan Karaka again.

We have recorded a track with the bro Phul Aphekt who we bussed up from Aux to collab with. Track sounds dope.

Yeah, Brief as.

Business as usual

Howzit!

Been a busy month for the OBC, Been jamming together with local artists and gigging alot.
We performed at local Youth Festival "One Love" for Ngati Hine and Mai FM. Went well, all were a huge amount of nervous, had to clean up a few verses in the week before to make them youth orientated, a few slip ups here and there, but what can you expext ae? We're mainly a studio crew! Hahaha.

From that gig we've now been asked to perform alongside Young Sid and Kora at Pacifica Beats this Sunday (we musta done something right! haha) and we have a mean set of songs we're keen to perform and have fun with. A-Tak is Missing In Action, Presumably moving house, so we've had to leave him outta this one, and Jesses is off to Rotorua with DJ Hemz so we're missing a core part of our crew, but I'm still sure we can rip a mean performance. We've got a skilled as fullah called Hans on the Gat so should sound great, and possibly a back up guitarist in Antz to add a bit of diversity into the mix!

Kenny Ruddell from Silver Bullet Productions has also approached us to make some music for his upcoming documentary based around the world drift evet "World Time Attack". Him and his crew are very skilled film-makers and photgraphers who are also making a big ruckus in their industry, and you can check out their stuff HERE.

So yeah. If for some chance you were wondering why we hadn't Tweeted, Blogged, Youtubed, Myspaced, or Facebooked in a while, then you now know!
